DCC point wiring

Postby jeb51260 » Fri Apr 05, 2019 7:03 pm

I want to add some droppers to my new DCC yard layout extension. It's so long ago I appear to have forgotten how to do it! Not going to use the Hornby point clips but just need a reminder where to wire the points for various sidings. A refresher would be very helpful please.

Hi
Before you start you will need to check on which bus wire feeds which rail. Then once that is determined carry on wiring with the same insulation colours for the rails. So for example if you previously wired Red insulation colour to the Right hand rail you need to ensure your new wiring is Red droppers to the right hand rails.
You should not need any Insulated Rail Joiners (IRJs) and the Hornby Point Clips can be removed once the new droppers are installed.

Broken? It was working correctly when I left it.

I have removed the other thread asking the same question in another section of the forum - please don’t post the same question multiple times as long as you post under the heading that best fits the question users tend to be able to find it and answer OK.

Thanks. It's all come flooding back.
