LED Lighting

Postby ajames2746 » Thu Oct 18, 2018 8:46 am

Hi

I have purchased a set of ten led lamp posts from Ebay
They have been supplied with a resistor for each lamp
The supplier recommends a supply voltage of 12volts at 20Ma
Can someone be good enough to let me know what ampage the transformer should have as an output?

I am guessing it should be 200Ma at 12 volts

Thank You

Theoretically you need a minimum of 200ma (10 lamps X 0.20ma) but anything higher than that would be OK.
I recommend using a regulated power supply (Note. Not just a transformer) of 1Amp.

One of these would be ideal ... Link 1
You will find one of these 2.1mm x 5.5mm female connectors helpful too. Connector link

Or with a larger output Link 2 This one comes with the connector
