Anyone using Wago connectors?

Postby OtleySteamer » Sat Jul 09, 2016 6:56 am

I spent the last 3 years as an electrician (re-trained after years as a uni lecturer) and it is now common practice to use Wago connectors.
They are simple to use, make secure connections and can be re-used time and time again.
There's 2 types
The lever type for stranded wire: here
Push type for solid wire: here

Using them as an electrician you quickly realise just how much time they save - no more lost grub screws, etc.
So I'm going to use them on my layout. Anyone else using them?

Yes I am. I use the 3 way ones to split one wire to two and the 2 way to extend wires. I have 2 types of 2 way connectors and I also have some 4 and 5 way ones too.
They are excellent for connecting the DCC dropper wires from the track to the DCC bus proper.

They can be seen "in action" as it were here - viewtopic.php?f=22&t=48176#p591408
Also scroll down for more on them on the same page..
