Decals [water based transfers]

Decals [water based transfers]
Loco liveries:
Epson inkjet printers will print these [e.g. Epson XP-970 – Epson Photo 1500W] [A4 decal papers] provided the paper is of a good quality..
I buy my A4 decal paper from[www.decalpro.de][www.drucker-onkel.de]
Ref: L13TBA4 – 13µm film thickness..
Most UK suppliers [incl on E-Bay] do not know what thickness of paper they are selling, and is usually only about 6 µm thickness, this is too thin.

However the inks run when immersed in water….applying clear varnish to the decal, ruins the decal. And does not really work..
The answer is ‘laser jet printers’ [some local shops have these and charge maybe a £1 a sheet..]
But these printers usually do not print white [specialist outlets may do these]..
The answer is to air brush the loco white first..
Attached are some examples of my work…
Some of the loco bodies were air brushed white first..and then decals applied..
The decals were designed in Coral Draw..
Any further information required…please ask..
