Have any questions or tips and advice on how to build those bits that don't come ready made.

A little more built. Some bufferbeams. :D

Uhmm. A slight gap. Looks like I may need to add some modelling clay before painting.

Benches made from cast off wooden stirrers in a batch to speed things up. i used a razor saw to get nice cuts and any gaps were filled with wood filler. They are now painted in the BNR's French Blue and seem to be very popular with passengers ;) .

Very tidy work there, Gerald 8). Have just taken a peak at your layout ... love it! Not only are you an outstanding train layout artiste, but a very entertaining writer, and I tell you, that hedge is drawing interest far and wide hehe ...

Thank you :) .

Here's a very simple use of stirrers as wagon loads, with some cotton from the sewing box for rope and panel pins on the bogie bolster to stop the planks falling off.

While I have my little machines out, I decided to do a bit more on my lollypop stick waggon. I had already built the base structure. Now to make something suitable to attach the wheels, so I am working on the axlebox assemblies made from lollypop sticks.

To ensure good alignment while sanding (I had previously drilled axle holes), I placed nails in the axlebox holes to ensure that the wheels sit at equal heights and then proceeded to sand the tops of the assembly so they also sit at similar heights.

So after a fiddly few minutes, my little waggon now has wheels!
