Obligatory I believe to harm a small furry animal at the comencement of a days sport.

And as this competition is now commenced in the antipodes, I think I'll commence by taking a nap. See you in the morning with the first update.

LOL, might be just dogged!

So today's commencement:

Step 1: drop two blobs of oil on track and run locomotive and dirty (metal) wheeled carriages around several times to leave some nice black rails

Step 2: place white card on corner, use masking tape for a hinge, and run a small board over the track

Step 3: cut along the lines and place in position

Step 4: run carriage with pens held in place

Step 5: cut along new lines

Step 6: use some polystyrene to get accurate height and test

That's a really good way of marking out the platforms - it's one of those ideas that makes you think why didn't I think of that?!

I agree, that is an exceptional idea, kind of makes me wish I needed some curved platforms now :P

More of a "on the fly" idea as I had intended to borrow a whiteboard marker from work for the rails. But of course I forgot on Friday....

Thanks for that bit of information. I had to Google what it was as I had not heard of it before. Another piece of the industrial revolution has now slipped into my consciousness.

You can put it down to my age ...........
NO it was not MY idea !!! There are few benefits of being over 70,
but I did use, & do recall some now defunct principals.
