Hi Gents,

Well my new PC arrived yesterday, not bad for next day delivery. As I was expecting it turned out to be a real pain, installed the OS, Then adding all the software I use, then setting up the new hard drive for OS, data & then backup. managed to get the Ghost image for all drives completed around 21:00hrs, that was from a 06:00hrs start.......How I hate PC's.

First order of the day is too comment on Jace1934 kit building skills, that cig packets just shows how tiny N gauge is, I still don't know how you manage, love how you have customized the shops.

Did I hear someone say T Gauge....Are you crazy  Now that would knock me over, if you ever get that one pulled off Scott I'd love to see them.

Hi Stephen, my own personal stalker..... LOL, still haven't managed to get the proto type build started yet, I've got the paper glued to some thck card which is now just sat in my project bin, hope to start cutting it out soon. I'll get the sizes together & post them here, I've used my Kibra Plastic building as a donor template regards the footprint as this saved time getting the house curve & distance from the turntable.

As for computer having AI I think you might be onto something as they always pick the wrong time too through wobblers, after saying that is there ever a right time ?

Still it is nice to be back on one's own PC, no more evil eye from the wife for hogging her laptop. Good news on the data front, none of the kits were lost thankfully, but I have lost my web site back-up, I'll try downloading the whole site today & see if I can get it loaded into my web building software which generated it in the first place......Not going to hold my breathe though, looks like I might be busy over the next few weeks generating a new site.....Now that really sucks.

Keep modelling everyone,
Mike.

All sounds good. Strange how wives think their laptop is their own private property...I've never been allowed to touch my wife's ipad.

Hi Mike, I really enjoy making these kits, But I wonder if you are going to do a few low relief buildings as I would really love to do some of these

Jace most of mikes kits convert into low relief quite easily. There's a bit of juggling to do on the ends if you want to be pedantic and raise the roof ridge. You can get both a low relief front and back out of one print if you are feeling really mean :)

I find it very dificult to roll chimney pots in N gauge but I have tried using Matchsticks sanded to make them round then soaked them in deep Red watercolour cut to length then spotted the top with Black, then drilled a hole in the chimney capping and inserted them in, and they look quite good, I feel pleased with the result :)

Hi Jace1934,

Look forward to seeing the photo's, just wondering if cocktail sticks would do for chimney pots in N gauge, or wooden barbie skewers, might be the right diameter.

Cheers Mike.

I was thinking of needles, as in sewing.

I thought about using cocktail sticks but as I haven`t been to the shops and I had some matches I thought I would try them to see how they look, had not even thought about barbie skewers but will have a look next time i`m out 8)

Another idea I've seen for OO chimneys is the tube that connects the two ends of cotton buds.

Hi Troop,

I've finally got the web site updated, had to start all over again so let me know if there are any issues.

Only one new kit in this update, a concrete style rail side hut. I will try & get the other stuff done as soon as I can.

Catch you all later,
Mike.

Looks good. I've decided to delete the models I'd downloaded originally and start again from your site. I've just began getting the layout set up again. It's looking good and I'd like to choose more carefully which models I intend to make.

Hi Troop,

I've had a few requests about the roundhouse engine shed, so here is a quick peak at what I'm working on. I still haven't got the proto type built yet so you'll just have to look at my artist's impression.

Image

I've forgot to show the inner detail as this kit will be open for loco's to enter & therefore it needs some kind of basic detailing.

I'll upload some photo's once the proto type is built, this should give a better general idea of the whole kit.

Catch you later,
Mike.
