For card, I use empty cereal packets.
Is that a dreadful thing to admit?!

Hi Kiddies,

Using old cardboard food stock etc is great as it's classed as recycling, Green Modellers. :D

Hi Terry, no worries here are two pictures of a similar hut, all that is missing is the roof sign which just glues onto the ridge tile apex.

If after studying the pictures it's still not clear, no problem, this weekend coming up I'll put togther either a YouTube video or slide show showing it's basic construction.

Let me know how you get on & if you need the video.

I'll add some ridge tiles in various colours when I do the sheets so once again everyone can have a little choice what to pick & fits best for them.

Need to go, on my way to work this lovely rainning morning.

Catch you all later,
Mike.

Hi Mike.
I have finished the coal merchants building and i am verry pleased with it,i have put barge boards on each end and if i knew how to send pictures i would.Last wednesday night i took 2 of the rusty huts down to my model railroad club,The club is predominatly USA and we are fortunate to have the Outerharbour railway station over 100 ft by 25 ft ,one of the rusty huts has a home there. The other was claimed a member for his Ozy layout,so i have more to build, these are not fillers.
Cheers Terry.

Hi Terry,

Knew when you seen the pictures you'd figure it out, I always find pictures say more than words can.

Happy to here the kits work for the layouts.

Just as a little peak into something I'm working on, all villages / towns had one, it's a market square building. It's quite a way from being finished & in the picture below I've tried to give you a general feeling of size as I've included some ruler guides.

I think ths should find a home on someones layout, pitty there is no room left on Wordsworth for one as I believe it would look great right in the town centre.

I'll build the usual proto type as this always has some design flaws that need tweaking, but will also give a better indication what the built kit looks like.

As they say in the business, watch this space.

Like it; I build too many models then swap them so my village becomes a different place.

Hi Mike.
I will try one of the stations next, building and platform. The market building looks ok,my layout will only be 2by8ft so not a lot of room and at present i cant find any straight 19 by 70mm timber for frame work.I think there is only crooked trees left  and if the hot spell stops a job list will be presented :( Only joking we all have our home jobs to do.
Cheers Terry.

Hi Terry,

I'm always open to new ideas & suggestions, whether they turn out into real kits may take time.

So I finally got the proto-type built for the Wordsworth Market Square which went quicker than I thought, here are a few pictures.

Image
Detailed floor for this grand building.

A very nice upper ceiling.

Some general pictures showing the overall building.

I'm that proud of this one I need to see if I can use it on my own layout, thought I had my street plan finalised at North & South Fangore, but this is the beauty of model railway building.

Hope you all enjoy the pictures, will get the kit ready for uploading as soon as I can.

Cheers.

Love the market square building Mike. It's just what I've been wanting for my N gauge layout

Will have to give it a go scaling it down when you publish it and let you see how it turns out...

Hi Terry,

All looking good I see, made a very good job putting them together with some nice finishing touches.

Keep the great work up. I'm sure you'll get your timber shortly, is Bunnings still trading out there ?

Catch you later,
Mike.
