Hi Troop,

It's another good morning as I have more photo's showing the build process of the greenhouse kit. It's almost complete & looks like everything fits so I may get this uploaded before this weekend finishes.

So lets see the progress.

Image
Here we have all 4 wall frame complete & the plant benches installed

Image
A peek through the side panes.

Image
A quick test of the roof.

Image
Add some plants for effect from the usual scenic range.

Image
Put the roof back on for final visual effect.

All that I need to complete is secure the roof panes onto the lower housing, add the end cover strips for the roof & it's done.

Well I hope this will be another great winner within the Wordsworth Range. On a side note I'm not too sure if this one can be down sized into n gauge due to how small it is, but if anyone does manage it I'd love to have a peek.

Yours faithfuly,
Mike.

Looking good Mike, might be a bit fiddely with my fat fingers but will look good at the hands of the better modellers on here. Keep up the good work.

Hi Trooper,

Yes it's nice to be back within the model railway fold, I've taken the last few days away from the layout as it's suddenly dawn on me that the old Wordsworth is dead, seeing the baseboards for the first time again since it began has left that "What have I done feeling".....

So I thought some time spent on my PC using Corel Draw would take my mind off things. I found an idea I'd started ages ago when I was doing the canal basin at Helmsbridge, time felt right for me to put the finishing touches to it, print if off & give it a test build.

I'm happy to say the build has gone without too many issues, later I'll go back & add a few more items to give a few options when the builder wants a change.

What have I got for you today, well it's a 60' long barge. I think it will be a great kit to add into the Wordsworth range as you can nearly build a full model railway from the web site.

Here are a few quick snap shots, I hope you like this one.

Barge shown with it's tarp off

A 10' cabin section for her family / crew

Here she is with the goods tarp on.

So you want something for you canal, well I think this little gem will fill the bill just nicely...... :P

So when can you get your hands on these new offerings, tomorrow morning I'll be updating the website with the 8' x 6' greenhouse kit & the 60' barge kit.

Like I said it was time to get those ink cartridges ordered.

Cheers Mike.

Actually I found it today and spent a happy hour constructing an approximation to your kit in N gauge :D.

You can see the results over on my layout thread. Thanks again Mike, a lovely little kit 8).

If you aren't getting updated pages try clearing the cache/delete temporary internet files. It's happened before :)

Hi Gents,

For those people that have been waiting for the South Fangore grand station, there will be a little delay in it's uploading.

My reason for the delay is I need this kit myself for the new Wordsworth layout & during the proto type build of the old design I noted down a few modifications which I want to include in a future release, so rather than upload the old version it's getting a revamp.

Once I have it completed I know you'll love it, plus I'll do a step by step photo build showing how this new version goes together. You are all wondering what happened to the old grand station I had, well I burnt it along with 90% of the other card kits, I'm going for a clean slate.... :?

Trust me it won't be long before this new version is ready & will be called the Wordsworth Grand Station.

Mike.

Hello

I really think you are coming up with some brilliant designs and constantly pushing the boundaries on where to go with card kit making. I do have a question however. I model in N Gauge and I am working in a modern era and would like to build an "out of town" retail park. I noticed you already have a couple of these units but do you have any plans to increase this range in the future with something similar to the large units announced by Wills plastic kits. I have found Kingsway models do a kit like this already but unfortunately it is a OO + you can only buy it pre printed rather than print your own. I think this would be a good addition to any layout running modern stock.

This is the first draft & I will add more bits once I get back up to full speed.Cheers Mike.

Hi Mike.
I cannot seem to print page 2 of the white goods set. Page 1 and 3 print fine but page 2 freezes and crashes adobe making me hard shut it by using the task manager.
Printer is a high end, brand new office one and I am using the suggested photo paper.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Agree with Ausipeet, in fact almost any other reader than Adobe's own one. In my experience Adobe is too fond of adding un-asked for bells and whistles to their software, which from time to time demand more resources than the average PC can muster. Having to upgrade to run a new utility is maybe OK for a professional designer or DTP specialist, definitely a no no for the the bod who just wants to look at what they've produced.
