Interesting, Essex, Sussex or Kent. Perhaps the operators have had bad experiences in Mercia?

I think the fairs are localized to the organizer.
It's the same chap on the door each time taking the entrance fee, at least at most of the Sussex and Kent fairs that I've visited.

I often see an O gauge layout, setup and running at the fairs too.
And who can resist a cup of tea and slice of cake (Aunt Sally).
Thanks

I expect that's it, doesn't want to have to fight his way around the M25 to go North of the river; and quite possibly venue rentals are excessive?

I wondered where that layout had got to. It used to do the rounds of the midlands fairs, then it disappeared. Perhaps the owner moved south.

Plenty of items of interest as usual Bigmet. :)
Lot of model railway items and toys from franchises including Star Wars et al.
Some good deals on auto models too.

I was only after some wheels so didn't actually purchase anything but it's enjoyable to walk around and see what is on display.

Coincidently after leaving the fair and driving South we stumbled upon a model railway exhibition in the village hall at Pratt's Bottom (stop laughing you lot!!! it IS a real place)
So decided to visit there too. £5 entrance fee and a limited number of layouts with the largest, taking up most of the main room, about 15 feet long! :o
I also picked up a couple of flyers which I will add to the E&E thread.
Thanks
