Algae and lily pads, not to worry they are both found in canals and will add to the authenticity. I like the tunnel with the lock at the end,

I like them. I use their scratchbuilders yard mostly.Chops wrote:I am rather charmed by these paper kits available from Scalescenics.
I'd like to see some of that. There's some fantastic stuff available for that theme. Haven't seen many cowboys though.Chops wrote:I also model some of the old West

Well, it turns out that the only American Old West is produced by a firm known as “Whitewash Structures,” which
Makes a substantial number of wooden structures. In the part of the American Southwest where I reside, there
Was very, very little in the way of wood in 1598, and no more so in 1881. Not until a Northern branch of the
railway was built was timber brought down from the mountains of Cloud Croft, New Mexico, and then abundantly.
There are extant tintypes of wooden El Paso structures and that of bricks, arriving by rail, but the humble
mud and straw adobe was quite prevalent, until city builders swept as much away as they could. So, if I want
anything in adobe I shall have to fashion it myself as there isn’t even paper of that design.
