How to model peco plate girder bridge on a curve?

Post by joshv8 »

Hey guys, Im currently building a pretty simple 8x4 setrack layout. Mostly to get my young son involved in the hobby and he can run his bachmann thomas stock but I can run my stock as well to get it out of the boxes.

I require a small bridge on a curve, 2nd and 3rd radius curves. Im planning on using peco plate girder sides but cant find any info on how these would have been done prototypically? Were they curved girders or straight and offset angled? Any advice here would be great!

A single span would have been straight sided but wide enough to accommodate a curve. A multi span viaduct would be made up of a series of straights between tapered piers. It's another situations in which the tight radii used in settrack are harder to deal with than the larger prototype ones.
Growing old, can't avoid it. Growing up, forget it!
