Who has been a busy boy :?:

The decks have been cleared, all I have to do now is find a home for everything before the Domestic Manager returns from work...

I may be some time

Too tidy by far !!

I appreciate the radiator location, but shouldn't that have a nice padded
seat to lounge in rather than a wooden stool ?
We need comfort, once past a certain age.

You should see the pile of junk in the spare bedroom and on the landing

Does that clear up denote the first signs of a new project?

I got the landing clear, but simply closed the door to the spare bedroom, with a bit of luck she won't notice

To be honest Paul, as it stands I cannot see the wood for the trees. I have one complete micro and three other boards in various states of play and nothing is compatible with anything else.

The question that I am asking myself is, "should I bite the bullet, scrap what I have and start again by building modules that can join together if required", it seems to make sense.

When you say about modules, do you mean as in an interchangeable type where it can fit together any way?

No, I have probably used the wrong word there.

I haven't thought it through properly, I just know that I need a more logical approach, at the moment I am wandering around aimlessly

We all do it!! I've done nothing all week despite having plenty of time to.

I'm sure the right path to take will come to you. Maybe a list of what you want out of it, want to make and build and what you have will allow a idea to show itself?

Get me another piece of paper, this one is full

I think that the fog is slowly clearing. The 3 boards that I have on the go are all different shapes and sizes, however if I can sort it out so that the trackbed height is compatible they could all be used together, they would just need a short link to join them. Does that make sense :?:

Not today I am afraid,I have a Christmas lunch to attend and I am just back in from a spot of shopping where I just couldn't resist an impulse buy. I am now the proud owner of a Wheelie bin desk tidy I got it from Poundland, not sure how much it cost

The reaction may be very subtle, but you'll suffer .........

I know Geoff (Dad-1) will be sending me a 'virtual' poke in the eye with a cocktail stick. But just like Beaching back in the day, my railway needs some reorganisation:

In addition to Fourways, my little circle test track I also have:

17-12-13-04.jpg

17-12-13-03.jpg

17-12-13-02.jpg

The top is supposed to be a stand alone yard with a fiddle area on the right end.

The middle came from an idea of having a high level railway through the centre with lower scenery.

The bottom is a working micro although the buildings and other items have been removed.

Due to the differing construction methods, the track height is different. IF it was standardised I would have three separate layouts BUT with a short link of track they could make an eleven foot run.

Unfortunately by using the diagonal on the shortest which gives a couple more inches of track I have stymied myself and cannot really link this to another board. But as this board is the most solidly constructed there is scope for a overhaul.

She was back out to work before eight, I think I got away with it, and I have now removed the evidence
