Sarah's Workshop....
Here are some more recent projects....
No prizes for guessing the origin of this BR Mk1 SK....
Re-painted, metal wheels fitted, and a few passengers added...
The interior...
To go with the "Partwork" coach from Hatchette I needed a Brake coach.
This Bachmann BCK was second hand, and needed a buffer and a little TLC...but got a bit more, including a re-worked "cage" in the brake part.
The Brake Van "cage" that was removed was solid! No Daylight could pass through...
Inspiration for the interior of these two coaches comes from the PECO interior kits made for the old Kitmaster Mk1 kits...
The guard is a Tri-ang Railways Driver!
The two coaches together...

Re: Sarah's Workshop....
Some recent work for Ffrwd Locks...
(And a few SR interlopers as well.....)
The Bachmann 3f "Jinty" 0-6-0T now just about finished...in BRITISH RAILWAYS livery...
A couple of vans...
Mainline LMS Vent Van with sliding doors...More or less as before....added Vacuum pipes,Bachmann Narrow Tension Lock Couplings, ligt weathering, etc...
After....re-painted and with new numbers (transfers)...
This one was the Mainline Private Owner Lager Van
After....re-painted and with new numbers (transfers)...
A few Ex GWR Toads...
Bachmann BR...weathered, etc...
Mainline "OSWESTRY"....
As delivered...
After modifications....
Mainline "SHREWSBURY"...
As delivered...
After modifications....
And a fitted example...(Ex Airfix GMR grey one..)
I had to make the handbrake stand...and add the Vacuum cylinder and a representation of some linkage, inspired by the Bachmann "Queen Mary" Brake van.
(The vacuum pipes may well not be proper GWR pattern! )
A Bachmann SR Queen Mary Brake Van...
Bachmann "Pill Box" Brake Van
The brake van has not had anything done to it...yet!
Little and littler...

I too love your weathered vans and loco, I could almost imagine those vans running along the W&U in it's last days
Re: Sarah's Workshop....
The blood and custard coaches are my favourite. Great stuff.

Re: Sarah's Workshop....
The Blood and Custard colours are my favourite as well...much nicer than the all over maroon, if a little harder to keep clean!
Even Strathclyde Passenger Transport like this scheme...

Even Strathclyde Passenger Transport like this scheme...
From this page...At the suggestion of a local councillor, 156.433 was turned out in the carmine and cream livery with black and gold lining that was used on coaching stock by British Railways from 1949 to 1956.
These colours also featured on the original livery of the Glasgow District Subway, which celebrated it's centenary in 1996.
Carmine and Cream was the colour scheme adopted by SPT, and was officially launched at the naming of electric multiple-unit 320.306 'Model Rail Scotland' on February 18, 1997.
A continuous programme of repaints for the class 156 units was started in spring 1999, with 28 units painted in the livery by summer 2000.

Re: Sarah's Workshop....
Something that I have been thinking of for some time, but I had to do it today!....
Using Tri-ang and Hornby rolling stock to represent the train.
My list of the train is:
Loco BOB "Winston Churchill" with 3 discs in a "V" shape. 2 on the smokebox door brackets, 1 on the lower centre bracket.
Brake Car No.208
SR PMV S2464S in special "Pullman style" livery. (The centre pair of doors were actually fitted with windows.)
First Class Car "CARINA"
First Class Car "LYDIA"
First Class Car "PERSEUS"
Brake Car "ISLE OF THANET"
The Tri-ang and Hornby version....
The Locomotive is the Tri-ang Railways 1964-1965 Synchrosmoke version.
Brake Car No.208 (Tri-ang Railways 1964 Brake 2nd Car No.79)
The SR PMV as modelled by Hornby. This is the earlier solo release. R.4451
First Class Car "CARINA". (Tri-ang Railways 1965 Car "JANE")
First Class Car "LYDIA". (Tri-ang Railways 1959-1961 Car "RUTH")
First Class Car "PERSEUS". (Tri-ang Railways 1959-1961 Car "ANNE")
Brake Car "ISLE OF THANET" (Tri-ang Railways 1964 Brake 2nd Car No.79)
The photos are "too large" to link to on here....
