Hi all!
New video featuring a timelapse painting of these figures is online here:

If you guys wanted to check them out.
I'm presuming they're ex airfix, bit disappointing that all the sprues have the same figures on though. Good mold quality however.
Any comments or queries welcomed!

Re: Dapol 00 Gauge Figures
The Railway Workmen are excellent figures, as are the Platform Figures. Beware of the ones in the Dapol Station Accessories set though - they seem very small (undersized?) and the ones I have are made of a bendy plastic, which causes the paint to flake off.

Re: Dapol 00 Gauge Figures
The biggest disappointment with the Dapol/Airfix figures is that they never produced any more!
Growing old, can't avoid it. Growing up, forget it!

Re: Dapol 00 Gauge Figures
Excellent video. Last time I touched one of these sprues was fifty-five years ago when enamel paints were about all one could purchase. These days I would spraypaint the sprue with a base colour/primer and then detail as you describe. I may have to revisit the worker figure pack, although I believe that they were 1/72 scale.
For those Hornby cab detail figures I hold them down with blue-tac, primer spray and then finish coat, with the primer spray being the clothing colour to simplify. The figures are then clear coated to tone them down.
