Lovely progress on your layout. Wow. The 56 looks more weathered then mine. Mines an old Mainline version. Still runs well (The last time I ran it!) Has a scale 150+ mph top speed, which is a bit weird for such a highly detailed and weathered loco. I bought it secondhand and its last owner had an eye for detail.

Re: New layout in the planning process
Alot has gone on since the last photos so where do I start ! So I'm currently still getting over having testicular cancer which I caught it early before it spread anywhere else .... chaps get checking I'm lucky enough to still be here . I've now decided that my garage 28ft×14ft is being transformed in to a railway room which is going to be fully plastered and insulated the roof has been fiberglassed at some point .
The garage door I'm thinking of either stud wall or bricking it up and adding a window
All electrics are being renewed with lighting being 6x6ft double batten lights and a consumer unit fitted with armoured cable from the house
The flooring is to be done with a membrane and the underlay followed by laminated flooring which should be easy to keep dust off
The layout it's self will be a split levels as yet not much of a track plan but I have idea's .
So watch this space for updates

Here's to a full remission and recovery and your very apt forum name. Nice to see some dark humour and you certainly do not appear to have lost yours. All the very best to you and good luck with your garage conversion. I look forward to seeing your layouts progress, only hope it's quicker than mine.
