Postby barnlow » Tue Jan 22, 2019 11:00 am

Wanted spares for Triang Budd Railcars.
I need a non powered Trailing Bogie.
Also spare Motor Bogie.
Or complete Railcar for spares.
Any help much appreciated.

Presumably it's one of Triang's standard Transcontinental bogies. Time to visit the odds 'n sods box at a train fair or swapmeet, unloved TC items tend to gravitate to there.

Hi Bufferstop,
Budd Bogies are not the same as other Triang transcontinental stuff.
All the mechanics are the same, similar to the Hymek, but the chassis casting is peculier to the Budd Railcar.

the Budd trailing bogie is listed as X286 on service sheet 31, issued Auugust 1962. the breakdown lists the components parts by S numbers.
if you want a copy to aid your search PM me.
Cheers

Amazing - they must have had good sales the previous year to starting on it!
