The 2015 Forum Competition

Post by Alex3410 »

Hi all,

We are going to try something different this time around, instead of a month long competition we are going to run it for three months (Oct, Nov & Dec). The hopes for this is that more people will have time to enter and others may tackle larger projects that they could not have completed within the month timeframe. Again there is going to be no set topic so its open to any and all projects - feel free to use part started projects if you want just make sure to post your starting point to keep things fair.

Everyone is welcome to take part, the main aim of this is to get people sharing their projects and modelling more so please do feel free to take part no matter your project or skill level - its all fascinating stuff!!

Read previous competitions for the rules

Start Date: 1st of October
End Date: 31st December

So get thinking about your projects! Post here if you want to take part and i will compile the list of people taking part (dont forget to give me a link to your thread)

Good luck :D

A change for me since the layout has been finished once. If acceptable I will enter my "new build" Railway Cottages which were only started 4 days ago and has 95% of the way still to go - will probably take about 2 months.

Would this be eligible or is it preferred I keep it seperate?

Count me in too. Although I'm away at university for most of October, all of November and the first week of December I should be able to take part in some way or another.

Yep please do enter it just make sure to post your stating point as of the 1st

Don't feel the projects need to be large / 3 months worth if you can only find a few weeks still enter a smaller project as its going to be interesting for the rest of us to keep up :)

I might be brave and do my main station building... :? Hopefully I should have a little more success this time, close season on the GWSR is coming soon so I'll have more flexibility over my hours as it'll be all workshop time, and A-levels are settling down nicely too.

Count me in, I think it will end up as a bit of a scenic upgrade. Some areas of the layout are now seven years old, one or two buildings came from its predecessor, so I'll probably start with a photo survey of what would benefit from a refurb, and it may still be a work in progress when the competition ends.

OK - count me in, now that I have finished wiring the signals I feel a building coming on.

I'm in - I need something to keep me modelling - too much life in the way.

So scratch built SNCF Roundhouse it will be, even though I haven't constructed the board it is to sit on yet...Oh well, things should ease towards November..

Having missed one of these recently I'd like to take part again this time - I'd better do my traverser unit on my new extension :D
