Oops! here's the printed bit....... Can be pre-ordered. However going by the Beyer Garretts very late arrival I wouldn't hold your breath....

"Danish manufacturer Heljan have this week announced plans for new OO gauge releases of the GWR/BR 1366 Class 0-6-0 pannier tank steam locomotive and Metropolitan Railway/LT Bo-Bo electrics. The 1366 Class Pannier tank locomotive was one of only two pannier designs built by the GWR that utilised outside cylinders. In total 6 engines were build from 1934, being taken over by British Railways Western Region in 1948 and seeing active service until the 1960s. No.1369 is today preserved at the South Devon Railway.

The Metropolitan Railway electric locomotives of the early 20th century were used on the London Metropolitan Railway for conventional carriage stock. The first versions of the Bo-Bo electrics with central cabs entered service in 1906, later being modified with a box design and having a driving position at both ends. The Metropolitan Bo-Bo electrics were eventually replaced by more powerful units in the early 1920s, but one, No.12 "Sarah Siddons" is preserved at the London Transport Museum.

More details of these models and a further announcement are due to by made by Heljan at the Warley Show next week. As soon as we have any further information we will update our system and let you know.

In addition to these new announcements, Heljan have also announced new versions of the Class 02 Tango steam locomotive and Class 05 Hunslet diesel shunter that were originally announced back in June. Thirteen versions in total of the 2-8-0 ex-GNR/LNER Gresley-designed Tango freight locos have been proposed by Heljan, together with ten versions of the 0-4-0 Hunslet diesel shunters. Propsed liveries and running numbers are listed below and current delivery estimates are for late 2014-early 2015."

While I think its good that these models are being produced, I also think that its yet another a sign of how saturated the market is that manufactures are producing types such as the Metropolitan Electric locos.

NO EDIT

Having said that, the Metropolitan Electric could be a good loco because it spans such a long time period in action on LU. Its a pity it wasn't around earlier this year as I reckon they would have sold a lot then with the Met 150 celebrations.

They are still planning a number of events in 2014 too, did hear something which includes the Chesham coaches again, but will wait and see on that.

Bluebell Railway Quote:

Talking of the Met coaches, it seems likely that they will be returning to London in August 2014, for more steam haulage, this time between Hammersmith and Moorgate, to help celebrate the 150th anniversary of that line.

Matt, you know it needs to be resurrected/done. What kind of lucre, are we looking at for instance? just a thought.

How much money would it take to get a mobile RTR example? Just an idea, because it could be a result.

If your on about Sarah Siddons Model, deal was done 5 or so months ago, originally they asked Dapol they said no, and so it went to Heljan.
Or your speaking of the Metropolitan coach?
