Highly doubtful, Heljan only seem to correct mehanical issues, case in point; they're still churning out those pregnant class 47s from time to time. The 86 hasn't sold at all well apparently so don't hold your breath over a retool, you'll probably be lucky to see new liveries on the existing model, warts and all. If they'd have got it right in the first place however...

Interestingly a famous outlet in Liverpool has slashed its prices on the Virgin, BR Blue Heritage and Anglia versions...

I fancy converting some of these into the 86/2's of the early 80's and I can't get any good roof shots or images to help to back date the model. It looks like the 2 tanks should go and perhaps the aerials and what about the aerial inbetween? Can anyone help me here:

well i can tell you there glued into position and very very hard to remove, i used a craft knife along the rear of the cab towards the roof to remove, improper way i know but it worked! then jsut glue back when done :)

Farmer have you got an update - are you pleased with it for the price? Grateful for your views and also which decoder are you using?

I am considering the Class 86 Electric locomotive 86215 'The Round Tabler' in Anglia livery for £49

Thanks

Well I was pleased with the Locomotive, however it did arrived broken but I managed to fix it (just needed a spare part from Howes) Got it running with a Bachmann chip and it was wonderful until I caught it with the controller and it hit the floor and well it just sits on the workbench until I can be bothered to try and fix it.

I would say go for it if you are clumsy like me as it is delicate. :) I may treat myself to an Anglia one as well.
