Very nice pictures,

and nice to see some of my constructed wagons running now!

Whilst Dan had a good day, I had a very bad day: my last departure of the evening ended in disaster as the Q1 and my goods wagons hit something (item unknown) quite substantial (and possibly furry) and took a dive off the board onto the concrete path below!

However a fuller account is available at the West Lulworth thread (link here)

Sorry to read about the Q1 mishap but other than that it looked like a great day out.
Really enjoying the DCC sound in the steam locos now too.

78037 and 4965 went off along with all the currently working wagons to the Bourne End test track yesterday, here are some photos taken by Tom92240 and a video taken by me, the test track is unfortunatley only DC so sounds had to be added over the chatter of the folk in there.

at the end all 32 wagons taken were put into one train, now it wasn't a light train by any means, in fact 4965 just spun and couldn't move it but 78037 just breezed off around the layout with it!

5043 and 5526 went on a 4 day visit to West Lulworth, it started badly, rained off on the Wednesday and Thursday, indoors loco testing took place, with both locos ready for when the weather gave in.

Friday came around, services started in the afternoon, with both locos performing well, 5043 took various trains, express passenger, parcels and even a mixed freight, which on the return run with when going tender first it failed with a loose wheel nut. 5526 came to the rescue and got the train home. 5043 being repaired within the hour and back out in traffic for another run of the day.

Saturday had an intense service, 5043 again doing many runs but she failed again in the late afternoon, this time shedding a valvegear nut and washer somewhere out on the line, she did make it to the end of the trip before it was noticed but as no replacement parts were on hand she had to be retired for the day. 5526 came to the rescue again, having to pull 6 coaches and a fruit D back single handed over the steeply graded line.

5526 was faultless for all of the visit and put in sterling work. A video will be put together soon with some clips of the visit.

Tom Waghorn took some great photos of 5526 and 5043 after dark on the friday, they are in the previous post.

Potentially it is, given the theme, track plan and resident stock but the layout itself has only 2 points where the power cables are attached to the layout, which means the layout is prone to voltage drops and exccessive current draw causing the DCC to cut out, plus it's a digitrax system, which for a garden layout is not ideal either.

Not posted on this thread for a while, well how times change, I now only have three 7mm locomotives, here are some photos of 2 of them running at West Lulworth over the past few weeks along with my collection of wagons and a photo of one of my coaches, a rebuilt beaver tail.
