35-075 Class E4
35-075 Class E4
Picked this loco up from Kernows bargins, great loco, nice heavy robust runner, doesnt really fit into my rrecent purchases in terms of era/livery but I'm finding myself mix and match all sorts these days. For the price it was going at its a good addition, just need to weather that white cab roof sometime soon.

Not surprised that you like it; I am very pleased with my E4 (which was one of the Maunsell green first batch).

hi, I bought the BR version which as normal ,i altered to a *Brick* shaded loco and it is about to haul a set of the new red birdcage coaches although in truth it probably never did.Modellers license and all that hehe all the best Ron

Ron: the Reading - Redhill - Tonbridge line had all sorts of odd combinations at times. Because of its SECR origins and the fact that it crossed the territories of the LBSC and LSWR, in BR days you could find SECR coaches such as birdcage stock being hauled by locos with origins from the other railways.
I cannot vouch that the particular coaches modelled by Bachmann were used on that line, but I do know that E4s could appear on workings with ex-SECR stock.
