Bachmann EZ Command, Missing Red Lead
Bachmann EZ Command, Missing Red Lead
I've just been given an Bachmann EZ Command but it is missing the red lead to connect the controller to the track. Does anyway know where i can get from? , already looked around the usually places but no look
Re: Bachmann EZ Command, Missing Red Lead
It is just a stereo 3.5mm jack plug, so should be easy to make one up. The same cable is used with the DC controllers, so someone might have a discarded lead with a trainset controller that is no longer used.

Could you then just get a lead with 3.5mm jack plug on one end and strip the other and solder to the track, would that work?
Re: Bachmann EZ Command, Missing Red Lead
Be Careful! many made up leads with 3.5 jacks are only designed for audio use. The amperage from the EZ Command could easily melt the insulation on the wire and cause a fire.
