I have just taken delivery of my Cola Rail 66 and noticed it has a Buckeye Coupler fitted on the driver end, having looked at the prototype this is incorrect.
This has happened on the last two Class 66 releases, the GBRf Europort 66 being incorrectly fitted with one as well....
Anybody got a spare hook and chain link for a 66 ?

Define driver end. Smiths/WT do spare couplings and are esy to fit . changing it is called modelling.
A lot of Class 66 are fitted with buckeyes as a lot of the modern stock is buck eye fitted
Carrying on

Re: Colas Rail Freight Class 66
Driver end, means driver end, Bachmann fit a driver to their loco's..
The only 66's with a Buckeye coupler are DB/EWS, the others all have traditional screw link couplings.
Sorry what do you mean changing it is called modelling.

No. Changing one correct prototype to another is called modelling. Correcting manufacturer errors is something else.
