Postby chrisbenadie » Mon Nov 15, 2010 12:54 pm

Hi
I have 3 BACHMANN EWS CLASS 66 Diesels. The problem is that the front RH lights dont work on all 3 of them.
Is there something i am doing wrong here.

Do you mean only one is on? There is a switch under the body to turn the other one on. However, if you look at the real thing you will notice only light is on, its for day and night running. Thus, the model is correct.
A loco with no sound chip? Might as well be unpainted!

Hi

Thats correct, 1 headlight only but I never could work out the lighting for a 66. I looked at many photos and it was not until I watched a video on youtube did it become a little clearer. You need to apply "rule 17" to the head light only for day and night running. When the loco is stationery the headlight is dull and when she moves off it brightens up.

I finally got a 66 with what I believe is the correct lighting. It had 14 independent lighting functions including the pulsing lights for shunting.
