That looks extremely professional, and such clean soldering.
Are the parts hand- or machine-finished?
Looking forward to the continuation.
PS: How many rivets will there be?!

Yes, The real locomotives were heavy for their size but this is needed when there is a trolley with overhang and the fact that the trolley is also pushing upwards against the wire, so, not one for CSB suspension.

Hi Reno,
I understood you said you would start a thread but not so fast...But, o.k., I discovered just now and here I am.
Must give a tremendous realistic feeling to handle such heavy construction.
I see you really love what you are doing and the scale gives you plenty of room for enjoying it.
Great to see your work.
I follow this thread now.
Oh, yes: you and all a happy new NOW.
Daniel

Hi Daniel. Thanks and a happy new year to you and all too. The work on the locos are progressing slowly but surely even though i spent six hours working on them yesterday and more than likely the same today. I am following your thread as well. Cheers, Colin

Of course you did and of course you will also today: I can imagine that huge little loco has stolen your heart and won't let you go until is done!

...bit of fun, not too realistic but at least he is to scale...

Well, Colin, your extremely refined brasswork I know adn is far beyond my reach. That is not niew to me. But... your sculpting skils are something different and I would like to learn about. From how you made the figure (wire skeleton ? +++??? and so on.) to how did you got such smooth surfaces.

....When the time is ready i will have figures done in 3D for the drivers and workers, the figure above just happened to be on a shelf above me when i was taking the photo of the build so for amusement i thought i would put him in it. I think he came from a farming range sold in shops here in France, i bought him some years ago because he came out at the right scale and height for a French worker of 1905 in 1/20 so very handy for perspective...he was also handy for holding up the side of the loco..
EDIT; I will be moving all my images to another image hosting site...
