...The electric trolley construction locomotive project is currently on hold i will get back to it later this year. The Spanish Tram book looks interesting, i think the railway in this card below is in the book. This is just begging to be modelled after....

..Little history lesson for those interested...

EL TRANVÍA A VAPOR
Nos remontamos al siglo XIX, en concreto al año 1879; donde en la Gazeta de Madrid, con fecha 9 de febrero, se expone el estudio de un proyecto de tranvía entre Pontevedra y Marín, presentado ante la Administración por Don Carlos Gastañaduy y Don Prudencio Otero. Será en el año 1887 cuando les será otorgado la concesión en susbasta,

En junio de 1889 comenzarán las tareas de estos 7,1 kilómetros de vía; estableciendo el principio de línea en la estación de ferrocarril de Pontevedra, con otras estaciones en el recorrido; en Lourizán, Estribela y finalmente el puerto de Marín; acomodándose el itinerario a la carretera existente a Cangas.

En su paso por Marín, cruzaba la localidad por la calle de la Reina, llegando a la Plaza del Muelle y al espigón este del puerto.

En 1907 la concesión será traspasada a Don Alejandro Mon, Don José Riestra (Marqués de Riestra) y Gaspar Massó Ferrer.

La línea comienza a funcionar en junio de 1889, no sin problemas, unas veces por cuestiones técnicas -descarrilamientos, falta de correcto mantenimiento-, y otros problemas de índole fiscal. Todo ello conllevará a una decadencia progresiva de esta empresa. Llegamos así al tranvía eléctrico.
