Lenz Digital Plus LS150 not accepting programming

Postby Tiddles » Mon Jan 20, 2020 10:18 pm

I think I may have buggerd it

It was working OK with the Lenz TR100/UK powering it.

But I tried it with an Hornby wall transformer that I use to power my analogue operated PECO points.

It worked for a little wile then stopped, so I reconnected it to the TR100. The light comes on when the button is pressed but it will not operate the point motors or accept programming or reset to factory settings.

I took the cover off and can not see any damage!!!

If it is less than 10 years from purchase, Lenz' warranty will cover it.

A&H Models are the UK distributor and can advise. https://www.aandhmodels.co.uk/

Probably no warranties as I get it second hand on a eBay layout I purchased.

Did the Hornby transformer supply DC power rather than AC? According to the manual this can damage it.

You can pick up SH LS150s off Ebay quite cheaply these days - around £25-30 or so.

The transformer is AC 16v as supplied with the Hornby train set controllers.

I cut the end off and fitted a connector block.

Will look on eBay.
