The dreaded CV29

Postby Tiddles » Mon Mar 26, 2018 1:30 pm

This is a very useful page for setting the value of CV29. It N gauge but works on HO/OO.

I had a loco that would not run on DC and ran "backwards" on DCC.

All operating correctly now

The problem with CV29 is that it works in binary. If you understand binary and know what each bit does it's simple enough, otherwise calculators like this are a great help!

There are often similar binary CVs for setting up things like lighting functions- mainly for US models with dimmable headlights and mars lights.
Once an engine attached to a train, was afraid of a few drops of rain...

Per the old joke: there are 10 kinds of people when it comes to understanding binary.

Those who do and those who don't.
Pete.
Gauge is not spelt guage. Remember to put another "m" in remeber. Manufacturers has two "r"s in.
When you buy something, you have bought it, not brought it.
