Mevagissey World of Model Railways Aug 2016

On our recent travels to Cornwall we visited the Mevagissey World of Model Railways. A great railway shop with extensive OO layout, a smaller Thomas themed layout and a larger scale garden (although indoor) railway. Lots of push buttons for the kids (no matter how old we are!! ) to join in and play and inummerable cameos to enjoy.
We have visited before but this time, part of the main layout is undergoing renovation as can be seen in the grey area in one of the photos.

Didn't study the re done version of Poldark closely enough to tell but the original used Charlestown for it's harbour scenes. (as did The Onedin Line and most period dramas of that era). Turn left when travelling west on the Truro bypass. Well worth a visit. If you can park the kids the hotel there does a great Seafood menu.
