British Railway Modellers of Victoria, BC, Canada

Post by Harry Douthwaite »

Just posting this here. For several years I have made videos of this British-themed model railway at the local model train show here in Victoria, BC. Formerly known as "The Gangers" the layout belongs to the "British Railway Modellers of Victoria" (or BRMoV).

...and here is the video of the 2015 Model Train exhibit. Description below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1qzl8-GJEbE

Pictures and video scenes from the model railway exhibit at Juan-de-Fuca recreation centre on Sunday, 24th May, 2015.
I managed to bring my Class 50 and Blue/Grey Mk2 rake, as well as my Class 37 and mixed Blue/Grey - Intercity - Scotrail Mk1 rake; my green BR 4MT Tank with ex LMS panelled 57' coaches (occasionally seen with a green Triang Mk1 coach on the tail); and my LNER J72 with NE 21t Iron-Ore hoppers and brake van; My Class 142 BR Pacer (which arrived days after last years' show); and also my Class 22 hauling a permanant-way train. (with a rare Triang crane and wagons from the Hornby Industrial Freight set).
All other trains seen belong to other members of the club.

For next year, track is to be relaid to the left side of the station on the fast line due to a dead-section, which can be seen impeding the continuous running of the Class 50 and Mk2 rake several times. Also hopefully some improvements to the fiddle-yard and tunnel will be done as well to facilitate shunting movements and other workings.
This footage is all from 10:25am until 3:45pm.
