Ron, I had hoped I would never see a 229 bus again. If you post a picture with an LT red 51 route, or a slam door with a 55 code. I shall be very upset.

I hate to be reminded of our time in Bexley. Nostalgia is not what it used to be.

OK, neat work keep posting the pictures.

With regard the #Bullet nose 4 sub (4315) the dock shunt motor trid but I have now fitted Tenshoda 35mm to either MTB. I did have to change the wheels as they were low profile??? and used romford 14mm instead which also included removing the axle cog and putting on the romford axle with a spot of superduper glue :D Goes well Shortly putting a couple more pictures on including DS74 Now the plumbing is finished a little more room to fit five EMU,s sidings and shed and washing unit Does anyone know of a firm that makes the older type of washer which is slightly ifferent to the modern Bachmann one.All the best with modelling

Hi all :D :D :D Talk about being premature :( New boiler and tank and shower and now only a six lane E.M.U shed plus hopefully a further siding .I am using a mixture of Metcalfe shed leftovers and wills asbestos sheets from 2 photos in books of emu sheds(Slade Green and Peckham)Having never been inside such a shed can anyone tell me please if the 3rd rail is still proud of what would be floor level and if here are mean of isolating individual rails within the shed Hopefully within the next 2 weeks should have some more picci,s All the best Ron

Hi all,Yet another addition to a #Busy# layout As my hopes of replacing the tanks in the loft were dashed and my E.M.Us. seem to be multiplying,I removed a cabinet and was originally hoping for a 6 lane EMU shed .Because of the very limited space ,the radius capable of being used was insufficient so a 4 lane shed was made using Metcalfe engine shed parts, wills corrugated asbestos and scratch built walkway board and drain pipes 2 workshops were united into one and 2 wills workshop kits used to create a small #Scene# Taking the plunge I have again used the 3rd rail(Sausage fingers are not good for fitting rail chairs?? :D ) Ballasting as before using Avia bird grit and roads using sharp sand, the latter mixed with watered down PVA.I do PVA the places where ballasting occurs and clean up the track afterwards This part of the layout is nearly finished and I have managed to gain 1 extra siding for my 8 carCEP/BEP and one for the #Eastleigh crane Point work has been drastically altered to get round the lack of space When th rest of the parts needed arrive from the retailers(Sundeala;track etc)Snow stopped play I will add to these couple of picci,s.Also completed DS74 from Judith Edge.As mentioned elsewhere very finite limits All the best Ron

Great photos as always.
Could you give some more info regarding the camel-back style loco as I have never seen anything like it before.
I am always interested in the southern, obscure and interesting locos and rolling stock.

Hi Oliver, Thanks for the comment.I take it you mean D.S. 74.I stand to be corrected but I believe it was initially #Down the drain#(Waterloo and City. It then went ,I believe Durnsford Road Power station and did shunting of coal wagons. This station supplied the Southern with juice. When they started taking leccy from the grid it was scrapped The Judith Edge kit is good, very light hence he ballast and runs well >like you I like the unusual or irregular southern motive power including 7 different pushme pullyou,s :D :D LSWR;LBSCR etc all about in 1958 All the best Ron

Hi all,Since my last import, due to the number of E.M.U.s on the layout further tracks were needed to act as sidings.Very limited area ,as you will see.I installed a number of added points. On Youtube shewing the Brighton Belle,is a glimpse of 3052 going through a carriage washing hut.I have tried to replicate this using wills asbestos corrugated sheet ,3 bottlecleaning brushes ,cut in half and trimmed and placed in the washing shed.To replicate water ,I painted the ground black and brushed gloss varnish on the area around the rails.I used a peco inspection pit, purely to get the rail chairs appearing as the video, and cut a strip of black plasticard which fitted on top of the chairs and between them for the length of the shed RSJ,s formed the skeleton of the shed ,all painted black and water pipes made using brass rod, similarly painted black and rust??The 4 lane EMU shed is 41ins long, this being made from adapted Metcalfe shed kits, wills corrugated asbestos roofing and a walkway fom plasticard the Ladder and protector rails were .45 brass wire soldered. The workshop are which shews replacement lathes and other workshop tools is a wills kit as is the interior of the signal box .Both buildings are lit by a single12V ex berko light. The Yard lights are a make I have not used before RMLectronics and the foremost #street lights in the yard are from Frizzi,s The yard lights are LED and very well made hope you like :D :D :D
