Seriously though what camera are you using on the pictures? It turns out great closeups and a real sense of depth on the wider shots, sharp foreground & middle ground blurring smoothly into the distance!

Seriously though what camera are you using on the pictures?

My still camera is an Olympus FE-120 6.0 megapixel compact. According to what's written, the lens is an AF zoom 6.3-18.9mm, 1:2.8-4.9, no idea what that all means, I'm strictly a point and shoot guy when it comes to photography. I usually have the camera mounted on a tripod or placed on the layout and use the self-timer to avoid any camera shake. It does have close-up and macro capability, and various other settings but it's usually just set to auto. Videos are shot with a Panasonic SDR-S7 digi-cam, again I try to avoid using it hand-held.

Some captured WW2 Luftwaffe reconnaissance photos of Sumware have recently been discovered in some till now forgotten archives. They show troop movements during the build-up to D Day. It's belived that the Ju 88 that took the photos was intercepted and shot down. The cameras were later recovered from the wreckage.

That county class looks great

That's just how it came. Runs pretty well, though I have noticed some slipping when pulling away with the 5 Colletts behind. The rake is a little long for my layout, so some is usually on a curve which probably doesn't help.

Your two track workers seem to be taking a chance. Even back then there would have been a flag man and they'd have leant on their shovels as the train went past. There was an old joke that almost every comedian used "It's no wonder BR's broke! I travel by train all the time and whenever we pass a group of workers they're just standing there watching the trains."

There were some people that said that the Livery application on the RR County wasn't very good? could you vouch for this? is was it just theirs? or an old problem?

It seems to be OK, but I don't have enough knowledge to say whether it's accurate or not. When I looked up "County of Cornwall" on the web, I found it didn't recieve its name untill shortly after nationalisation. If that's so and it has BR style lining, then it seems to be missing the black center on the cab and tender, but as its "Railroad" I guess you have to expect some corner cutting for the lower price.

They were originally placed there to mark the position of an uncoupler, though a telegraph pole that was installed later serves as a better marker. I've just never got around to replacing Charlie & Fred.
