New stock on Sumware

Postby GeoFF03 » Thu May 21, 2009 11:07 am

I'd normally post these on the "under construction" forum, but as they're only additional stock I'll post them here.

Great shots,

I have both those models although with different numbers, both are great runners.

A couple of brief videos of one of Hornbys 0-4-0s at work on my layout (first time I've tried to add extra sound effects)

Recent additions

Postby GeoFF03 » Mon Nov 16, 2009 4:51 pm

More new additions to my loco and stock fleets

Thompson B1 (Bachmann) works a fast goods

Ebay purchase, runs superbly.

Gresley J39 (Bachmann) works a pick-up goods
Image
Bought new, seems to have a dislike of running in reverse, at least the tender does.

BR 9F (Hornby "Railroad" version) hauls a new rake of Bachmann hopper and tippler trucks
Image
Image
Excellent performer, though had a problem with a crossover made from Hornby points until I removed the spring from the pony truck

My two Hornby Collectors Club freebies recently repainted with more useful liveries for my layout.
The pug before repainting
Image
I've still to sort out a running number for the pug, the 06 was in the Pullman colours.

Both were brush painted, fortunately the photos makes the finish look rather better than they actually are.

Edit

0-4-0 pug now has its running number (bogus, as is the livery)
Image

I've also been advised via another forum of a more appropriate number for the 06 shunter

Some recent photos, lighting is not so good on some of these. Some were shot with the video camera rather than my stills one, as they were for inclusion in a video clip.

Love the J72, one of my favourite locos and a good reason for not going DCC.
Its amazing what you pack into this small space without overcrowding it.
