Re: Horsted Keynes - Bluebell Railway Layout.
Those are some very impressive photos of your superb layout, it's amazing how you have captured the stations image here, i visited the bluebell railway last year with my partner, since it was my first time travelling up to Kent, and to the bluebell railway itself a month after the gala.
The detail on your layout is lovely, and again, you have captured the stations image very well. =)
Keep up the good work.

Re: Horsted Keynes - Bluebell Railway Layout.
Thank you for you kind words, means alot cheers.
The images I have to say are now a bit out of date really should post new ones up with some of the new stock coming on the layout in the next few months, it should also appear in a magazine soonish.
Please feel free to find the actual layout on the layouts under construction.

Sadly no more images of the dukedog as this was sold off some years ago now, as it didnt work very well... and could just pull itself so it was sold off until a more suitable or better kit or RTR was available. So sadly what is on this thread is all what remains.

Excellent as always! You've captured the atmosphere of the Bluebell extremely well indeed.

Matt, that's a very atmospheric set of pictures, I rather like 'Stepney' viewed at platform level. Neat piece of work.
Don't let others put you off posting on the forum. I like your builds and the photo's keep them coming....

Yes, please do keep posting your photos. =)
I am very impressed with your collection of models, they look just like the real thing up close. And the angles you have taken them at are smahsing too.

Re: Horsted Keynes - Bluebell Railway Layout.
Thank you guys i will try to post updates when i can, im usually around the work bench area now with only a few models left to get for the loco fleet, there are many more than what you see in the pictures here, as I only took some of the more popular ones. I have a B4 / Normandy in build at the moment, and maybe a couple more after.
Thanks for the comments.

Re: Horsted Keynes - Bluebell Railway Layout.
Just to add to what the others have said really, absolutely cracking job and lovely pics chap, i really like the image of the small shop on patforms 3/4 with the light and detailed interior, very nice touch.

Re: Horsted Keynes - Bluebell Railway Layout.
Thank you, yes the little shop was made using the various wooden stiring sticks from various coffee and food shops, then using photos taken of the shop itself these were over layed and stuck to the building including the shop window interious.

Re: Horsted Keynes - Bluebell Railway Layout.
some cracking photos there matt! your stock just makes me more envious by the day!!
this is one of the best layouts on this forum, theres always something to look forward to on your thread and if there was an award for the best atmosphere on a model railway, yours would win hands down!
plus when the dukedog arrives, it will top it off!

Re: Horsted Keynes - Bluebell Railway Layout.
excellent work there matt,
You have captured the bluebell to a tea, well for my wife and I it was a cream tea on the Bluebell on the Easter Saturday 2011 with our friends. It was in red and cream MK 1's pulled by 473 0-6-2T which you have modelled. Not sure of type/code as I am more a LNER/ER modeller. But the Bluebells were out and it was reasonable travel time both on and to and from Eastbourne. Though we travelled from Australia initially. Got to see my favorite UK layout "Gresley Beat."
Like you P2 and USA tanks too. well done.
