My Railway Photography

Post by ErlestokeManor7812 »

Evening all!

Over the last few years I have been really trying my hardest to improve on my photography skills, it is mainly railway photography as I don't have a huge interest in much else! Anyway, I shall update this page with different photos from time to time, I hope you enjoy!

Here are a selection from the last few months!

4566 departs Bewdley on her final day in service before the end of her current boiler ticket.

Not just steam that I photograph! 33063 R J Mitchell prepares to depart Tunbridge Wells West with a Santa Special on the Spa Valley Railway.

Thanks for looking! Until next time :)

Great to see Evesham Vale getting a mention. Their Minimum Gauge rather than one third scale models look right with the enclosed coaches. Now they have remodelled the halt on the loop to allow run round or loco swaps they can run two train point to point and a longer run, than out and back. Did you noticed the the overall roof on the station. It has security roller shutters all round fitted in between the RSJs that hold up the roof, great security when they aren't running.
Worth a visit if you are in the area. Park the other half in the shopping village :!:

What amazingly well composed shots, very sharp, atmospheric and with a sense of movement.

I especially like the way the bending of the tree adds to the feeling of forward movement as the train heads off into the distance in your shot "8572 heads towards Weybourne during the North Norfolk Railway's September Steam Gala". It has a suggestion of an adventure into the unknown about it.

You obviously have a very good eye for composition and balance.

I've never seen the real Tornado. Those night shots on your site are amazing.
Hope you were keeping an eye behind you on that low track shot. :D
Thanks

Welcome back Kenny, didn't realise who was behind the camera until you made your signature big enough to read. Some great photgrophy there.
