Fawley Hill Vintage Extravaganza 18th May 2014.

Postby kieranhardy » Wed May 21, 2014 6:51 pm

I visited Fawley Hills Vintage event which celebrated Lady McAlpine's 70th Birthday, the event included the famous railway alongside a huge variety of Steam Rollers, Traction engines, showmans, steam lorries, cars, buses, tractors, air displays plus much more. I didn't think the 2013 event could be beaten but they did it! An outstanding event and I feel privileged to have attended.

I have had to split my photos into two parts,

Part 1: http://khardy.zenfolio.com/p514936844

Part 2 (which also includes the parade): http://khardy.zenfolio.com/p532106855

Looked like a delightful day, both weatherwise and what there was to see, thanks for sharing :)

That looks like some sort of gradient in the first shot.

It is certainly quite a gradient, 1 in 13, it's said to be the steepest standard gauge railway gradient in the UK.
