Most of my railway pics are on slides from the 80's, however here are some I did for the http://www.geograph.org.uk/ website. Hope these show....

This is 9681 on the Dean Forest Railway shortly after the line to Parkend was opened.

Very nice! Did the station which the Black Fives were in have two tracks in the past?

The station is Penybont on the Shrewsbury to Swansea line. It's 3 miles north of Llandrindod Wells. It was twin tracked but just north of the pic it would still have reverted to single track. The line goes through a single track tunnel.

The pic doesn't do justice to this position, it's at Gatcombe nr Blakeny and to the right of the pic the River Severn is over a mile wide. Perhaps I'll pop down on the next sunny day and take some more pics.
