Here's a link to some footage I uploaded onto Youtube this evening.......
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kgud5IcjXA4
It's a Spitfire Railtours from Crewe to Norfolk,pulled/pushed by 2 Direct Rail Services Class 37s.
The footage lacks audio as it was taken by my brother from Station Approach in Sheringham at about 1.30pm on his little digi-cam.I would've been there myself but only discovered on Thursday that I'd be working until 5pm today.
At least I was one of the buses having to wait when this tour returned over the new Sheringham crossing,so had a chance to get a sneaky pic of the front engine(from this footage, that became the rear by this point) as it left the station by 3.20.
I'll post the picture in this post at a later date

Is it normal for a DBS and freightliner engine (especially that one) to work together?? I dont know much about how these companies work, but just makes a bizarre sight!!

I think it also looks bizarre for the fact that the two locos are pulling BR green era 'chocolate and cream' coaches. There must be a reason behind it though.
Why are the locos I want, in the liveries I want, always either non existent, out of stock, discontinued or collectors club only/limited editions?

I used to be with it, but now what I'm with is no longer it and what's it is somehow strange and confusing.

Odd indeed :? It can't seriously take both of them to shift those coaches though. Two locos incase one breaks down maybe? in any case the 66 doesn't look like its powered up.

Cracking pics by the way :)

Reliability issues with the new class 70s i would say, read somewhere that any train being hauled by a 70 has to be double haeaded in case of failure,a network rail ruling i guess.

There is no such ruling regarding doubling up on class 70's. But there are many teething problems with these units! There is a regular coal service ATM over the S&C, 70004 failed last week on the UP service and was recoverd by a DB 66.

I like the photos, bright and colourful. Is the shot of 70013 (or whatever it is) taken from here:

It looks like a good location. Is is accessible?
