Hi all. I was out capturing more photographs of the introductory days of the new Siemens Class 380 E.M.U. train fleet today. Daytime tests have proved to be successful so far with the weather not quite matching upto the same satisfaction. I caught sets 107 + 105 coming into and a few shots of the sets standing stable at Glasgow Central High Level station having just worked the 14.04 2z04 driver training run from Ayr. Photographs and full information can be seen / read in the links below:

Hi Pip.

I've been following progress of the Class 380 driver training runs this week during the day and at night as well as capturing a few photographs of the New Measurement Train at Bellgrove station yesterday which was working practically everywhere in the central belt of Scotland, going via the new Airdrie - Bathgate route. Unfortunately I wasn't able to travel on the A - B route to grab a few shots but Bellgrove is still a rare shot to see the train and as an added bonus it stopped for a signal check for five minutes. Photographs and more information can be found by clicking on the links below:).

Winter Photography - Carntyne, Edinburgh & Dumbarton Yesterd

Postby jonno22 » Wed Dec 22, 2010 12:30 pm

Hi all. Yesterday I had a day to myself and ventured out down to Edinburgh during the day and Dumbarton Central at night. I travelled via the new Airdrie - Bathgate line to Dumbarton from Edinburgh last night and was good experience apart from the train was short formed and crowded come Haymarket station. Also the train was delayed by some 15 minutes at Airdrie due to the common thing (recently) of their being no driver to work the train. Anyway, a good day all in all. Photographs from yesterday can be found below.
