And I thought you said there wasn't much in Preston?

Will be passing through there in October, I might stay for a couple of hours to see what's happening.

That's what I thought, but I was wrong. Most of the action was morning.

Me thinks I'll be going to Preston during the holidays. Dave is the freight all regular or is it touch and go what you see.

Good pictures mate, keep it up.

First time I've spent any time there tbh. Andy (60007 on here) was wiht me too, dunnon if he'll put his shots up?

All that was in about 8 hours and I've not included a couple of sheds on freights which I ******** up. SHould get 6hrs in at Warrington tomorrow, SO i'll let you now how it compares.

For referance, these were all taken at the bottom of Platform three, save for the Thunderbird one and the 37- Top of Platform 5

Thanks for that Dave,

I spent a good five hours at Warrington and there wasn't much to see really, maybe I was just unlucky.

Great set of pics Dave.
Last time i was up there not so long ago (5th July), seen a few frieght workings myself when i parked my car up at Network Rails Corporation Street Depot (near the town centre) with my Uncle. Must have seen 2 intermodals and a Coal working in a space of 10 mins....only wished i had my camera with me :(
Ah well maybe next time when im up :P

Where you in the Corp Street depot? I've always wondered what goes on in there, especially since the rest of it got demolished 10-20 yrs ago.

Thanks all!

Well its there Dave, well whats left of it! If you by fishergate centre, go down a street called "Charnley Street" and across the crossroads, you'll be able to see The Gate and the sign "Network Rail, Corporation Street Depot"

Mainly its a place to park the network rail vans and to store equipment for the job. there's the single storey office building/staff rooms there and thats about it really. The ex Railtrack/ Balfour Beatty coaches are parked up on the sidings but its a nice spot to watch the trains go by but you need someone who works on the inside and who's got the key for the gate to get in........
