A day at Hollycombe

Postby MTA » Sat May 31, 2008 9:01 pm

Today I went along to the Hollycombe Steam Collection to see visiting engine 'Palmerston' from the Ffestiniog railway on the Quarry Railway.

If you haven't been before, you MUST go. Steam driven fairground rides, three different railways and loads of traction engines make for a great day out.

You can see my pictures on my Fotopic site:

A video is to come, mid week I suspect

Enjoy

Great photos there Simon, you may or may not know my love for miniature railways from other parts, but Hollycombe is one place I really would love to go to sometime... bit far south for me though!

Palmerston is a fantastic little engine, I rode on her footplate at Porthmadog last August. she is so simple yet elegant.
I'm back and now I model in 'Strain your eyes gauge'...
