Re: PeterH's Watford Juction photo thread.
Thanks.
That is the result of a few hours watching, most freight movements are at night, mostly 390's, 321's and 350's EMU's.
I am going out again in a few minutes to get some more.

I almost missed that, in the photo you can see a train going in the opposite direction. I took a photo of it and as the camera was loading up the double-header went through. Sods Law, lucky to get it.davek wrote:Like the 92 and 90 double-header!

Some more from tonight (including what I think is a 56 - the one you where complaining about earlier!).
Unfortunatly it was a bit dark . It is a bit odd though, on the camera screen (for aiming) the image is alright and is quite light; after taking the photo the picture is pitch black! Never mind.
The 56 - sorry of the bad quality.

Nice one, that's the Hanson 56 on hire to Fastline, hence why it's a different livery!
Re: PeterH's Watford Juction photo thread.
I think I ought to invest in a better camera - or a cam corder. However the lure of a Hornby T9 (order already placed - am part exchanging) and the Schools class are more desirable than a new camera.
daveK - is there anything you don't know?!? Lucky it was still relativly light when I took that shot.

I just keep tabs on what's going on by picking up bits from here and there, no expert or any special knowledge by any stretch of the imagination
Nice panning action by the way.
Re: PeterH's Watford Juction photo thread.
I seem to be good at pans. I have a fantastic video of the Flying Scotsman going through at Seamer on its way to Scarborough - I must dig it up and post it on.

Re: PeterH's Watford Juction photo thread.
The NRM one, in SR livery and watercart. I am part exchanging it at Rails of Sheffield with a Lima Prairie + £40.
I should have some SR Maunsell coaches coming through. My brother ordered me some in January - they still haven't come through so he has cancelled the order and is getting them off Modelfair. They are the cheapest I can find at £18 each.
Eventually I will get myself a Schools class and re-name/number it Haileybury after my school No.920 I think.

Some good pictures there Pete. The one of the freightliner 66 looks spooky in the dark. Like Adam said music to my ears a 56 running on British Metals.

It's the only one to get ain't it? I have the same T9 on order too, hopefully they'll make an arthur with the watercart too soon.PeterH wrote:The NRM one, in SR livery and watercart. I am part exchanging it at Rails of Sheffield with a Lima Prairie + £40.

Re: PeterH's Watford Juction photo thread.
Thanks for all the comments. I still apologise for the bad quality of the 56 video - hopefully this will make up for it.
Taken a few years ago at Seamer.
I have also found some old railway photos from 2-3 years ago. I'll upload them and post them up tonight, also some of todays photos.

At 20:20 the Royal Train came through again going to Euston. A little earlier than that (good news for Pedanticmongrel) a pair of 86's came through on its way north. Naturally I left my camera inside when they came through.
More photos later today!
