Why do so many pendolinos/voyagers fail. Nearly everytime I see a shot its got a 57 in front

thats Oxley maintenance depot up there. they pull them out and shunt them over between sheds regularly, for maintenance and cleaning etc i believe.

You would be correct. That viaduct is a great reminder of the work people did when they were building the railways and dominates the approach to the city from that side.

A very nice photo. Most of the snow around my house has now melted, 12 degrees Celsius today!

This is also when the pendo's are taken off electrified lines across Wales. The voyagers are often towed on training duties.
