I look forward to that Bob - be good to see how it all fits into the space.

Do you have a fiddle yard?

This is one of my favourite views. It may not be of the whole layout but it gives a great flavour of the setting for me.

I had forgotten about that picture LF so I will load it here for everyone to see. It does give a good idea of almost the whole of Barchester. Just a couple of feet missing off the end nearest the camera.
I have just realised that the picture was taken before the diesel wash unit and the diesel refuelling point were installed. I'll have a look through the camera and see if there is much difference.

Thanks very much fellas. It's great when I can share Barchester with other modellers, even though it is rather once removed, being on the internet.

Thanks grippets but don't forget that although Barchester MKII was only started on from bare boards last year it has been many years in the making from Barchester MKI. This is almost the same track layout but in a much smaller space.

After much faffing about with paper and pencil I have decided that simplicity is the key with regard to the barges I need for Barchester. I am building five of them, three low sided, very easy models, and two with slightly higher sides and just a touch more detail and different colours to help differentiate them. Here is progress with all five items showing the first cut outs and also part construction.
