My New Attic Layout !

Postby DrStroganoff » Fri Sep 21, 2007 7:08 pm

Hey there everyone.

I have been building a layout in the attic for the last few months and its finally starting to take shape, so I thought I'd share a few photos with you to get some feedback !

1 - A view through the trees of a DMU

2 - Some of my locos in the fiddle yard

3 - Class 25 in the sidings

4 - Class 25 passing a Deltic in the yard

I've finally got my Class 25 going after lots of bogie trouble, sorted thanks to davek !!

I've had a long break from model railways, about 10 years. Have got back into it after buying my own gaff.

My really old layout was featured in Railway Modellers 'Junior Modellers' section in 1996 !! :-)

I'll post some better photos once I've figured out this camera !

Is that an APT or a badger in the fiddle yard shot? Looks fantastic, especially the 25 passing the Deltic.

Yes its an APT.

I only built the fiddle yard last weekend so that I could have the APT out and not have to keep packing it away. Its been in storage for like 10 years, and its not sounding very healthy. Think it might need a service.

And what is a badger?

A Class 89 I think.

The layout looks brilliant, well at least from those photos it does!

As mumbles says post a picture showing a wider view of the layout :).

Yes, a class 89. It's the only member of the class, and quite distinctive!

An unusual looking loco, I can see why its called a badger.
High towards the far post,Howard with a header,Hes done it!Steve Howard has scored for Leicester City,Bedlam here at the Walkers Stadium. the Leeds United players are flat out on the turf in utter despair. Leicester City are going to win again

Shame the Badger was shelved, but then I guess it was 'cos it was one of a kind...economies of scale, etc.

Love the layout Dr S. Some splendid photos from interesting angles, though a few are a tad dark maybe ;) I like your selection of locos too. Big thimbs up for the APT!

Cheers, look forward to more shots and/or video

Hi

Great pictures you took there, specially like the trees with the blossom on them, they really stand out well. Keep the pics coming
