Hello there, ! the Concrete is plaster then painted then given several washes of matt black to tone it down a bit.

Well, it's been a while since I updated you on my layout. I hope you are all well. Lately I've been constructing a wee courtyard where the Portakabin is, so vehicles can be parked there etc. I just need to detail the inside of the portakabin with charts posters etc and of course add some lighting to the layout so I can take some night pics!


After parking the Landy up John makes his way to the gronk to shunt some wagons into position for the mainline loco to come and collect.



After hitching up it's time to move off into the next siding.

Thanks for the lovely kind words guys, I appreciate it! I've been doing little bits here and there around the layout and finishing little bits and pieces of. Finally I've got round to the rear part of the layout and have nearly finished the structure of the embankment. I've been adding to the scrap heap of course and I've added a couple cars to the smaller and older overgrown heap. I've started to add barriers made from rail around the area where the weighbridge will be too!

Yes the "the over wall" picture is a classic, it needs one or two shopping trolleys but you have captured that "not in my back yard so I throw it over the fence" perfectly, well done.

This is excellent stuff... I especially like the textures and depth that you have created, e.g. the tarmac, the churned up mud, the overgrown undergrowth etc. Can't wait for the next update!!
