Hi there guys, it's good to be back home but it's not if you know what I mean? I've just come back from Menorca - It was nice to see some sun at last! We were walking round the harbour in Mahon and the missus only found the 'Body Shop'! That was a home from home! Damn it's back to work on Monday :( ! Anyways I'm back and that means more modelling! When I get time I shall go on hattons and get that sound equiped Class 20 ordered!

It's good to be back with you guys!

Hi Rhys :D

Thats gonna be one hell of a layout when its finished. Also got to echo the sentiments posted on here in that you should get it on the exhibition circuit. It would go down a storm :P

Can't wait to see it finished,

best regards,

Mark
If I only had another 6 inches! Then I'd get it in no problem and the layout would be finished!

Rightio lads. Today my boss is out and the computer guy is coming into to work so I thought I'd bring my laptop in! It's wireless so I've just connected it to their network! Last night I put some pictures on it of what the layout is looking like at the moment. I think you will all notice a BIG difference!

Here we see a frshely steam cleaned Scania 143 streamline parked up on the tarmac. I think a knightwing portacabin would go down a treat on the tarmac!
Image

Image

I made the tarmac ith some old scatter, PVA, filler base and then sprayed it all black so I've got a nice texture to it and the tarmac has depth just like the real thing!
Image

A view of the scrap heap! It's quite funny because at the moment I'm just ruining perfectly good models!
Image

This will probably be the last amount of cars I'm putting on the layout. Then I shall be putting metal into different area e.g., cast iron, iron, ferrous, non-ferrous etc.
Image

Here we see an old caravan with lots of moss etc.
Image

Here we see a poorly capri on the top of the heap, the roof is bent in, the bonnet is partially open.

Emjoy!

Comments and critiscm welcome as always! I've got to get to work so I'll speak when I get home!

Rhys,

Ignore if you wish, but I feel your scrap cars could do with losing their glass

Did you stand on that?

Great layout, I'm sure it'd do well at an exhibition.

That looks marvelous, well as marvelous as scrap yards are.

It must be hard not to over do it, and to get "ill just dump it anywhere" kind of look to it, you have got it spot on i feel.

Nice one
