A new bachmann Ivatt has joined the Wellfracombe loco roster today, see pics.

The thing that I like about this is that the dcc board for the chip to plug into is fitted into the tender, as such a little cutting and moving should see the easy install of a sound chip. I wish, and i think it may well happen, that all tender locos come like this. Certainly makes rtr steam sound an easier option for bachmann.

A loco with no sound chip? Might as well be unpainted!

So Wellfracombe had its test outing friday and today. Had a few problems with points throuigh not having time to do the converstion on them, wipers were playing up and cutting out the chips now and again.
Other than that the layout was well recieved though I have decided to scrap the station/brewery board and do it again, as you do!

The locos going up the bank looks superb even if i d say so myself! Backdrops looked ghreat too and the souind chips, top stuff!

Thats a superb Layout there Simon, really is mate! Very Realistic and full of atmosphere and character. 8)

Love the spamcan vid - love the sound it makes when it reaches the top too - although you can't beat a tractor on a incline

I ran a sound chipped 37 up the incline but forgot to record it!

The way its going, there may be a few deisels up for sale soon to pay for more steam sound chips!

The backdrops were painted by a fellow club member, way beyond my artistic strain!

Great looking layout! You've done an amazing amount of building in such a short time! I'm not really a steam person but that is very impressive. I like the scale speed too, not the usual flat out pace favoured by a lot of modellers. Well done. 8)
