Can't believe how fast you work!
Look forward to the sound vid if you do one?
I also agree with others that the slit level adds a lot to the over all effect!

Despite the track gang (me) being diverted to paint the kitchen yesterday, I managed to do the rockface and add the scenics ( I still have to tidy up and hide bits at a later date) to the tunnell boards.

Attached are photos showing the train as it prepares to enter the top tunnel. I have some train spotter figures that will be above the double tunnel, perhaps even in the folley with binoculars?

With luck, the back boards will be painted over the next few days. Todays tasks for me are to wire the tunnel and middle boards and build the split level fiddle yard board.

Just had another look at this thread and I have decided that it is the telegraph poles that make it look so good!
I do think that the little things are wot make all the difference!

Backdrops were delivered to Caldicot this evening for painting, they hopefully will be back friday, if not then next Monday.

I damaged a length of track so have been replacing that tonight, as well as sorting the track gang out. Oh, a few more locals have died recently too so the graveyard is filling up, will have to start cremating people in the steam trains if the population keeps deceasing so fast!

Sound chip expected tomorrow, so short test clip perhaps on U-Tube tomorrow night?

Tunel and church boards wired up and tested, as was the incline, all worked well though the points need some cleaning around the wipers.

Only trouble was an EWs 37 was the first moving train!

hope to have the manor sound chipped and running up the bank tonight.

Sound chipped manor has done its first test sessions, but only on two boards. Hoping to get all 3 main scenic boards up tomorrow to see how the locos cope with the bank from the station.

Have to say I am getting to like the steam sound chip, though I dont think the old split chassis manor is the best option. I may buy a hall to put the sound chip into??
I have also ordered a Spamcan chip today!

Those shots at the top of the page look excellent; the colouring of the rocks and spread of scatter really look good. :D (x10)

PML, love it but where's the SEA. Ilfracombe, Woolacombe and Combe Martin, are very close to my heart.

Just caught up with this one. I must commend you on how briskly and efficiently you have produced an excellent model! Rocky cliffs, a castle and ex-GWR stock: what a splendid combination ;)

Cheers

Bloody kettles. Cleaned the manor wheels last night and re-fitted the correct way round, had them up side down yesterday!

Anyway, bloody thing has failed today! Sod it, i dont think the split chassis is much good for Dcc, especially sound Dcc so tomorrow nuight the sound chip is going into Sketty Hall!

By the weekend I sould have sketty hall, one of my spam cans, a panier and a small praire all with sound.
14xx should join them next week plus one or two others so hopefully when the layout goes out on its maiden voyage all of the locos should be sound equiped.

We have the the whole thing up at the moment, 22 foot running through my lounge and dining room (wife is in work :D ).

We have banked a spam can + 3 coaches up the hill, pannier as banker and it work well. Will carry on with point motors and power supply for the station board tonight, though at the moment I think I need to move the engine shed.
Thursday / Friday do the ballast + scenery for this board.

Fiddle yard, should not take too long couple of hours, its absic affair.
